DAN rucci

Dan is a co-owner and Director at Rucci’s Gym. He is an experienced Powerlifter with almost 20 Powerlifting competitions under his belt and has held National and World GPC records for his age and weight category. Dan was part of the Australian team at the 2012 GPC World Powerlifting Championship where he bronzed in the in the U82.5 open class mens category.

Dans last major meet was the WA WRPF State Titles (June 2017) totalling 720kg at 99.9kg, squatting 300kg, benching 165kg and deadlifting 255kg – coming back from shoulder surgery.

Dan was the Western Australian GPC State Delegate between 2013 and 2023, and was responsible for promoting Powerlifting and directing events for the GPC in Western Australia. These meets were the biggest WA has ever seen including the 2022 GPC Nationals.

Dan is a Head Coach at Rucci's Gym and leads a large team of Powerlifting athletes and is well known for his game day tactics. He coaches athletes throughout the course of the Powerlifting calendar and is passionate about delivering results for his clients on the platform.

​

Dan has a Diploma of Remedial Massage from Paramount College of Natural Health – where he won the college “Outstanding Achievement” award. He is a skilled therapist who uses deep tissue, MET (Muscle Energy Technique), trigger point, dry needling, Graston, cupping and ART (Active Release Therapy) as part of his holistic approach to developing an athlete.
