

2022 GPC WA POWERLIFTING STATE CHAMPSIONSHIPS

The GPC WA State Championship is one of the premier events in the WA Powerlifting calendar. The best of the best in the state will be there to compete for the highest accolade the state has to offer.
This is a GPC sanctioned event and as such this event also gives lifters an opportunity to qualify for the 2022 GPC Australian Nationals right here at Rucci's Gym. Info on the event can be found at www.2022gpcnationals.com

Weigh Ins
A 24-hour weigh in will be available on Saturday23rd of April 2022.
Same day weigh in is available (must be nominated on the event form).
Order of weigh ins will be conducted by a first in first serve basis.
Equipment checks will be performed at the weigh in.

What to do now
Confirm your registration and weight category. Check the competitor list on the nomination list.

what to do one week out
Prepare your gym bag and personal equipment.
Confirm your opening attempts for each lift. You will need these at the weigh in.
weigh in
Check the competition timetable for your weigh in option and turn up early (24 hour or same day).
You will need your personal equipment, mono pin heights, bench pin heights and opening attempt selections.
One handler/coach wrist band will be issued.
warmup area
Check the competition timetable for your session and flight.
Access the warmup room for your session. Competition staff on the day will assist.
Confirm your name and details are correct on the competition screens in the warmup area.
Begin warming up when your group details appear on the middle competition screen (next flight).
Review the warmup area rules.

Access the platform from the right-hand side and marshal to the side of the platform.
Exit to the left-hand side of the platform, place your next attempts at the scorer’s desk and enter the warmup area.
Attempts will not be accepted without the signed copy of your attempt card.
Your handler/coach is not permitted on the platform at any time during your lift.
Most importantly, have fun!

Spectators
Doors will open at 8am, $5 entry with kinds under 16 free.
Please wear face masks at all times.

By car: Rucci's Gym is easily accessible via Mitchell Freeway, off the Reid Highway exit.

By taxi/uber: Door to door service is available directly from Rucci's Gym.
Parking
Limited parking is available. Please car pool or use public transport if possible.
Parking inside the venue is reserved for staff, officials, volunteers, vendors and sponsors.
Street parking is available, but please consider our neighboring businesses and do not park in front of driveways or limit street access in any way. You may be fined for parking on private property or parking illegally on the street.
Food and Refreshments
A food truck will be available for lunch.
The Rucci's Gym Café will be available from 9:00AM for light refreshments including coffee, drinks and snacks.
ETFPOS facilities are available.
