This is a Rucci's Gym event in conjunction with the Global Powerlifting Committee (GPC).
The GPC WA State Championship is one of the premier events in the WA Powerlifting calendar. The best of the best in the state will be there to compete for the highest accolade the state has to offer.
This is a GPC sanctioned event and as such this event also gives lifters an opportunity to qualify for the 2023 GPC Australian Nationals.
session and group information
24 hour weigh-in available on 21st and 22nd April 2023 between 9am and 3pm.
Same day weigh in from 7am - 8:15am.
Equipment checks will be performed at the weigh in.
Session, flight and competition timetable will be confirmed a week prior to the competition.
Before competing please make sure you have a valid GPC membership.
You will need your personal equipment, pin rack heights, opening attempt selections,
entry form and score card (available on the day of the weigh-in).
One handler/coach wrist band will be issued.
Check the competition timetable for your session and group.
Access the warmup room for your session. Competition staff on the day will assist.
Confirm your name and details are correct on the competition screens in the warmup area.
Begin warming up when your group details appear on the middle competition screen.
Review the warmup area rules.
Access the platform from the right-hand side and marshal to the side of the platform.
Exit to the left-hand side of the platform, place your next attempts at the scorer’s desk and enter the warmup area.
Attempts must be completed at the scorers table on your attempt card.
Your handler/coach is not permitted on the platform at any time during your lift.

medals and trophies
Medals will be awarded to weight class winners on TOTAL (gold, silver, bronze) and
the overall male and female will be based on the Glossbrenner formula.
The following will also be awarded both for men and women Powerlifting divisions.
State Champion (biggest total on formula for lifters in Open divisions).
Masters Champion (biggest total on formula for lifter in Masters divisions).
Junior Champion (biggest total on formula for lifters in Junior divisions).
Best Squat (biggest squat on formula).
Best Bench (biggest bench on formula).
Best Deadlift (biggest deadlift on formula).

By taxi/uber: Door to door service is available directly from Rucci's Gym.
Limited parking is available. Please car pool or use public transport if possible.
Parking inside the venue is reserved for staff, officials, volunteers, vendors and sponsors.
Street parking is available, but please consider our neighboring businesses and do not park in front of driveways or limit street access in any way. You may be fined for parking on private property or parking illegally on the street.
Food and Refreshments
A food truck will be available for lunch.
The Rucci's Gym Café will be available from 8:00AM for light refreshments including coffee, drinks and snacks.
ETFPOS facilities are available.
